Kim Matroni

I am a lifelong resident of North Dakota, spending most of my life in Valley City, where I currently reside. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Dakota State University in 2008 and went on to complete my master’s degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing in May 2025. Now a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespan. I believe in treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their journey toward healing. I integrate medication management with supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle education, and a holistic understanding of mental wellness. I have experience treating a wide variety of psychiatric conditions, including depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and sleep concerns. With over twelve years of experience as a nurse manager on a long-term psychiatric unit, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine empathy to my practice. My goal is to help patients build resilience, restore balance, and find healing. When I’m not with my patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching hockey, and reading.
